People with vulvas carry so many feelings about their bodies, especially when it comes to their vulvas. We hold onto shame, confusion, excitement, curiosity, and so much more.

So many vulva owners hide their bodies by turning off the light when they’re naked in front of a partner, they may never take a good long look at their own vulva, or find themselves comparing their bodies to the only widespread representation we have – porn. This often comes with unrealistic standards, perpetuating shame and body image issues.

This shame can ripple out into other areas of your life, affecting your confidence, your sense of pleasure, and your connection with yourself.

Your vulva is a part of you, just like your arms, your belly, or your feet. When you make conscious efforts to explore your relationship with your vulva you’re able to cultivate a sense of self-love.

DIY Vulva Casting

A fun and novel way you can start to cultivate self-love is by using a DIY Vulva Casting Kit – which we sell of course!

A vulva cast is a beautiful work of art featuring, well your vulva of course! They’re made using an exact mould of your vulva using a squishy, rubber-like material called alginate. This material is soft and gentle on your sensitive skin.

You then make the finished product using a casting plaster which you can then paint a color or design of your choosing. Make it rainbow! Paint flowers on it! Make it realistic! Tap into a feeling of self-love and reverence for your body and decorate it in a way that reflects that.

Vulva casting gives you the opportunity to rewrite your story and rediscover the beauty and power that’s always lived within you. Doing this project allows you to to embrace your anatomy, reclaim your sensuality, and step into self-love while getting to know your anatomy on a whole new level.
