What was your inspiration to start selling crystal toys?
My inspiration came from a deep desire to reclaim sexuality as something sacred, spiritual, intentional and embodied, not rushed, transactional, plastic, or disconnected. I’d spent years working 1:1 with women around body image, self-pleasure and shame, and I kept noticing that the tools available didn’t reflect the reverence we were cultivating. Crystal wands felt like a bridge between sexuality, ritual and self-connection. They invite slowness, presence and intimacy with self, not just quick stimulation on the clitoris.
I wanted to create a pleasure toy that invited women and vagina-owners to be drawn to self pleasuring internally, rather than purely externally. Since working with a yoni egg and a pleasure wand for over 12 years, I am able to have deep, expansive, internal orgasms and I believe that's because of the internal pleasure I have cultivated from yoni wands and yoni eggs, which can both be found on YPP.
How did you alight on choosing the materials for your wands, and where are the toys made? Is each one handmade?
I was very intentional about materials and safety (as not all crystals can be used internally). Crystal and gemstone felt energetically aligned with my philosophy - natural, enduring, non-toxic and energetically alive. Our wands are made from solid, genuine stone from Mother Earth and are hand-shaped into designs I've created and then polished to be smooth and safe. Because they’re natural materials, no two pieces are ever identical - each one has its own markings, colour variations and character, which I actually love.
The crystals are sourced from Brazil, India, China or Mexico and then carved in small batches (rather than mass produced) by a team from a gold star manufacturer in China, whom I've worked with for over 10 years.
I understand that each stone has its own unique properties. Can you share more about that? And can your wands be used for temperature play?
Yes, this is one of the most beautiful aspects. Each stone carries its own energetic signature. For example, rose quartz is associated with love, worthiness and emotional healing, while obsidian is grounding, sexually healing and deeply protective. Many people choose intuitively, based on what they feel drawn to rather than what they “think” they need.
Because crystal, like glass, naturally holds temperature, the wands can absolutely be used for temperature play. They can be gently warmed in warm water or cooled in cold water (never extreme temperatures - do not use boiling water or put in the freezer). They also slowly warm on contact with the body, which creates a very different sensation to silicone.

Your range is positioned at the luxury end of the market. Is that intentional - especially in the context of sustainability and reducing waste?
Very intentional. I see these as “forever” pieces as they can truly last a lifetime. In a world moving away from disposable, plastic-heavy products, crystal wands offer longevity, durability and timelessness. They’re not trend-driven or throwaway, they’re designed to be cherished, cared for and used for years, even decades. They are also not for everyone! Some customers prefer a glass dildo under $100. However premium buyers love to invest in their pleasure and buy a pleasure wand that feels like a designer dildo!
How should users clean your crystal wands?
Crystal wands should be washed with warm water and a gentle, natural soap, then dried very carefully (not in the shower or sink with slippery hands). Some people also like to energetically cleanse them, for example with moonlight, smoke or intention, but from a physical hygiene perspective, gentle hand-washing with a non-toxic soap is perfect. They definitely don’t belong in the dishwasher!
We also sell a natural cleansing oil and/or cleansing spray for our crystal wand range, which are made with essential oils best for cleansing and cleaning the crystals - no harsh chemicals.
What sort of lube should be used?
A high-quality, body-safe water-based or oil-based lubricant is ideal. Oil can be used by some people, but water-based tends to be the most universally compatible and easiest to clean as it just washes off with water. Our Yinn range are all organic and natural and made in small batches in Sydney, so most of our customers add on one of these to their order.
Do you think there’s a move away from silicone towards more natural products? How sustainable are gemstone toys?
I do see a growing shift toward natural, intentional pleasure products, particularly among consumers who value ritual, sustainability and aesthetics. Gemstone toys are inherently more sustainable in the sense that they’re long-lasting and not disposable. They’re an investment rather than a consumable.
Do users have to store gemstone toys carefully — can they chip?
Yes, while they’re durable, they are still stone. They should be stored thoughtfully, ideally in a pouch or box, and not knocked against hard surfaces. When cared for properly, they can last forever. A family heirloom perhaps!?

Does the weight of gemstone toys play a part in how they’re used?
Absolutely. The weight is part of the experience. Many users find the natural heaviness grounding and luxurious - it creates a sense of presence and depth that lighter materials don’t offer. It encourages slower, more conscious exploration rather than fast or mechanical use and it also gives users the ability to rock themselves (no pun intended) onto the wand, which can bring about deep g-spot or cervical orgasms.
