Menstrual Disc
A Menstrual Disc is a small, flexible cup made of medical-grade silicone and instead of absorbing your flow, like a tampon or pad, it catches and collects it - without leakage. Most menstrual discs can stay in for up to 12 hours before being emptied and rinsed. This means you can wear one when you're sleeping, or all day long. You may need to empty a cup more often if your flow is at its heaviest, but you can use the same disc for your heaviest and lightest days.
Menstrual Cups vs Menstrual Discs
A cup sits in your vagina below your cervix and extends into your canal. A disc, on the other hand, fits back into your vaginal fornix, which is where your vaginal canal meets your cervix.
How to Insert a Menstrual Disc:
Getting the disc in there comfortably may take a little practice, but once it’s in you’ll know it because you won’t feel it at all.
Here’s a step-by-step on how to insert it:
- First things first, wash your hands — it’s going in a delicate place after all!
- Get into whichever position works for you. This can be sitting over the toilet, standing with a leg up, or squatting.
- Squeeze the sides of the disc together, making it the size of a tampon.
- Insert the pinched disc pointing down and back into your vagina. You want it to sit at a vertical angle so it completely covers your cervix.
- Make sure you push it past the pubic bone as far as it can go so the rim tucks in just above the bone.
- All done, you are ready to bleed on!
Are Menstrual Discs Safe With an IUD?
Yes. Menstrual discs are OK to use with IUDs because they don't use suction and, therefore, are less likely to cause your IUD to dislodge when removing the disc. Most physicians recommend that you wait at least two cycles after IUD placement before resuming the use of menstrual discs or a menstrual cup.

Please note that Yoni Pleasure Palace is not responsible for any import duties, taxes, or customs charges that may be applied to your order. These fees are determined by your local customs authority and must be paid directly to the courier (e.g. DHL) before your parcel can be delivered.
Because the majority of our products are manufactured in China, some countries (including the USA) may apply tariffs or additional import duties. The amount charged varies from country to country, and we are unable to provide an exact quote in advance.

- Import duties and taxes must be paid by the customer to release the parcel.
- If you refuse to pay these fees, your order will be returned to us as Return to Sender.
- In this case, a store credit will only be issued once the parcel has been received back at our warehouse.
- The store credit will be minus the return shipping fee charged by the courier and, in some cases, the import fee back into Australia.

Awesome
After doing some research and finding out about period disks, I wasn’t actually looking on this website to buy one from here but it popped up and the price was awesome, so I’ve used a cup before but hated how big it it was, I don’t like pads or tampons, I liked the idea of reusable period products. So once you get the disk in it’s awesome feels like nothing, I’m yet to see if I can have sex with it in but I’m happy to recommend! 10/10
Game changer
After learning about cups I have been trying to use them unsuccessfully for years! The cup never seemed to sit right for me, needing to be adjusted several times and it usasalted in me reverting back to pads. After watching a post by Rosie about the discs and learning more about the inner workings and layout of my vagina I thought I had to try it, and I am so glad I did. It is easy to put in, rests well and I even found out I can autodump :) I can't believe I have gone so long without trying discs and I am also learning you can have more than one thing to do a job right and comfortably.
