Masturbation May Part Three focuses on creating new pleasure neural pathways by creating new masturbation practices or practising radical discontinuity - an abrupt break in how we do things.

As the saying goes, neurons that fire together wire together, so when you’re doing the same thing every single time, it becomes an engrained path, and this can lead to boredom, taking longer to become turned on, less horny, reaching climax becomes the goal because the “getting there” is predictable, rather than the pleasure and the play being the fun part.

When we open our field of awareness and perception, and try something a little different, something unknown, it can be a little uncomfortable at first because you don’t know where it will lead you. Once you get past that unfamiliar feeling, there’s a heightened excitement and anticipation for what's to come, and your senses become more receptive.

Your Challenge

This week's challenge is to change how you self-pleasure.

More often than not, in our teenage years, we discover self-pleasure, find what feels good, and tend to just stick to that. As humans, it’s in our nature to want to know what’s coming next and how it will play out. There is security in doing what we’ve always done.

Changing things up adds spice to your life and your masturbation practice.

If you typically approach self-pleasure with external vibration, try popping that in the drawer for the week and practising with internal pleasure.

If you watch porn when you masturbate, try not watching porn and learn what sensations turn you on, which you may have discovered in last week's challenge.

Remember, the orgasm isn’t the goal. It’s about self-exploration, learning what feels good and what doesn’t. What turns you on, and what are you not comfortable with?

Here are some things you can try:

  • Switch up your position (lying down, sitting up, hands and knees etc.)
  • Swap out the tools you’re using (vibrator, wand, dildo)
  • Change up the material you’re using (silicone, glass, crystal, hands)
  • Try erotic audiobooks
  • Reading erotic novels
  • Watching porn or not watching porn
  • Internal vs. External stimulation
  • Location (bedroom, living room, outside)
  • Different pleasure zones

What is your USUAL way of reaching climax? How can you do things differently? That’s what it comes down to!

As you grow older and wiser, as you change and evolve, your masturbation practice will, too, and it’s a magical experience.

In this week's challenge video inside The Golden Yoni Membership, I’m talking about my sexual evolution in my self-pleasure practice and how I engage in sex with my partner and previous partners.
